BioSyntax
A Projected Experience Fueled by Biodata and Physical Computing
TouchDesigner, Arduino, Electronics
Undergraduate Final Project
BioSyntax is an real-time generative audio-visual system and installation that translates the hidden rhythms of plants into dynamic motion graphics and soundscapes. Using a custom biodata sonification device integrated with MIDI and TouchDesigner, the project bridges nature and technology, creating an interactive experience that visualizes the unseen vitality of plant life. This project is a derivative of Electricity for Progress’s biodata sonification device.
Biosyntax, along with other TouchDesigner projects throughout the year, led Alyssa to receiving the Innovation & Technology Chair Award in my department upon graduating in 2022.
